We received some wonderful shots from visitors to our social media pages who entered our contest. We’re happy to present the selected works.

During last summer, we held a photo/video contest called “Birds of Lika and Velebit,” where we asked our social media followers to send us their photos or videos of birds from the Lika region or the Velebit Mountains.
The goal was to encourage hikers, walkers, and nature lovers to pay more attention to birds. We also wanted to see what birds they were lucky enough to “run into” while spending time in nature, and where.
The submitted works showcase the beauty of birds from Lika and Velebit. Among the birds are a male and female crossbill, a golden oriole, and an eagle. The selected works also include one from a talented 12-year-old photographer, a hiking and nature enthusiast. We hope he will continue to develop his talent and passion for nature.
The participants also sent us the locations where their photos and videos were taken. These beautiful works were shot high up on Velebit, on the Premužić Trail and near Zavižan, as well as in the Velebit foothills—near the Gacka River and in the Selo Sveti Marko village.
Thank you to everyone who submitted photos and videos.
Enjoy the selected and winning works.
